Mount Pleasant Michigan Food
We visited East Lansing to see what the former Spartans of Michigan State University say is the place. We spent the day visiting some of the restaurants and bars that people nominate and choose.
Gayle took us to Wayside Central, a place I remember from my early college days. When I went to Central Michigan University in the 1980s, Marty was at things like Cabin and most recently at Blackstone. When I visited the CMU, I always thought about it and remembered that I wished this place was open.
Kelly's has been open since December 2001 and a huge success at the college, even locals are looking forward to their first meal at Wayside Central. The number 8 (the same as number 4, except that you can also get two pancakes) is popular on the menu, as are a number of other items such as "number 5" and "number 6," which are also known for their fried dishes. It doesn't open until 9pm, but in the evening it's served with its typical Blue Motorcycles.

One of the most popular menu items is the chicken and steak hoagie, but there are also several specialties to watch when you drop by. Of course you can choose between different types of ice cream, from vanilla to vanilla pod, from chocolate to chocolate chips and even chocolate milk.

Also in downtown Mt. Pleasant is the Brass Cafe, which has been a popular spot for some time. When you drive up, a team member will bring you warm, delicious food and put it in your car. Once inside, you will be greeted with a metropolitan feel, and as you stroll along the sidewalk in the city centre, the music from the Brass Café and Saloon will call you in.
Located just in downtown Mt. Pleasant, the menu offers a variety of lunch and breakfast options, but owner Chris Elmo Walton says the specialty are the sandwiches. Walton said the most popular sandwiches are the Fiery Turkinator, made from apple wood - smoked bacon, smoked pork belly and smoked ham, all on grilled ciabatta or flatbread.
