Blessed Sacrament School Reviews

My son gos to BSS and loves it! His teachers are wonderful! They are not only concerned with academics and religious education, they are also very concerned with character development. Personal responsibility and ettiquette are addressed in all of their activities. The overall climate of the school is warm, thoughtful, and caring. I am very confused and disheartened to read some of the negative reviews posted on this site. I have never experienced anything negative about this school. The parents in my son's class are a wonderful group of hard-working people - not snobby and certainly not competitive. I agree that the playground could use some extras, however; I provide a safe and fun play area at home and there are many public parks for outside fun! I would not weigh my decision on what the playground looks like. Visit the school and observe happy, well-mannered, bright children at work!

My two children attend this school, so I was deeply upset when I read the bad reviews. You should see this school for yourself. I visited 9 schools before settling on this one. The kids manners are wonderful and the kids are very happy and have a true love for life. Yes, they don't have a fancy playground but they play together. The classes are a little bigger than most schools but the kids do get one on one and if there is a problem with your child, you are addressed. My kids have flourshed greatly in the last three years. We are not catholic, but love the discipline. So, if you are looking for a school for your child, come and see the school for yourself! And the National testing scores are above average!

my daughter has attended bss for 3 yrs now and I am very happy, and proud to bring her to the school. Parents are very involved, as much as they want to be.Great Catholic school and allaround great school

My kids attended for 7 years and I should have pulled them sooner. Huge classes (larger then public school!) and you are a 2nd class citizen if you aren't catholic. It is very harsh and cold. I feel sorry for those kids every time I drive by and see them playing on the asphalt playground. This is not a nice place!

Pulled all of my children out after 6 years of hoping this school would improve. The standardized testing scores were low. The atmosphere is harsh and shaming. This children and parents are competitive and cruel.

All my children started in K5 at BSS and one finished 8th grade. Some teachers are very good, particularly in the first 4 to 5 years. In middle school is where you can see big problems with a couple of teachers, enough to ruin the school's reputation. There is no leadership. If you expect your children to do well, do your research first. After our experience, I would not recommend this school to anyone. You can find a better school and still participate in a good Catholic parish.

I attend this school and it is really fun, I have many fiends and the teachers are very nice.

This is the most absoloute worst school my child has ever attended. The students are mean to eachother and will leave other children out. The teachers are horrible overall if the child doesn't understand a problem to them the child is on their own. The teachers don't reply back to phone calls, emails and etc. Overall the worst school In Charleston County

My daughter is currently enrolled and I am thrilled. A wonderful environment with wonderful faculty and staff. Terrific parental involvement. Class sizes small enough to ensure you child will recieve the attention they need and want.

Although our family is not of the Catholic religion, my daughter received the same education as the Catholic students. The teachers were amazing and the parents were so involved. The Catholic religion was taught, but not forced on the students. My daughter was allowed to make her own decision. The faculty does a great job of enforcing the rules and regulations in a loving and caring way. Overall this was an amazing experience for my daughter and me.
