We love living in this house, but we've decided it's time to move closer to the grandkids on the west coast.

Living here is almost like living in a tree house, surrounded by majestic oaks. We frequently see all sorts of birds, from egrets and herons in the tidal wetlands to cardinals, blue jays, woodpeckers, chickadees and humming birds. We've even spotted a juvenile Coopers' hawk, and a nuthatch built its nest in one of our planters on the front porch!

We built the house with a reverse floor plan (beach house style, with master bedroom and open kitchen/dining/living room on the top floor, 2nd and 3rd bedrooms on the lower floor) so we could have privacy, sunshine and a lovely view of the Ravenel bridge from the dining room window.

The rooms are large, especially the living/dining area. It can accommodate a crowd for dinner parties or meetings; you could even have dance lessons by moving the furniture to the perimeter! An extra large rec/family room on the lower level has endless possibilities as a game room (ping-pong or pool), home theater, hobby room, home gym, studio, etc. You could even divide it and add an extra bedroom with a view of the wetlands and still have a nice-sized family room. (Ask us about this if it sounds like something you'd like to do.) The oak floors are stained ebony, which provides a creative canvas for decorating. The large elevator makes shopping day a breeze and is perfect for handicap access. Tons of storage on the ground floor provides easy access to kayaks, sea doos and bicycles.

An exterior spiral staircase, accessible from the top floor, leads to an observation deck, ideal for sunbathing and viewing the Patriot's Point 4th of July fireworks. A just large-enough fenced-in backyard is great for kids and pets. Lots of parking for your vehicles and boat.
